Disc golf is played using rules similar to golf, with players throwing a disc at a target and courses varying between 9 or 18 holes. Players complete a hole by throwing a disc from a tee area toward a target, throwing again from where the previous throw landed, until the target is reached. Think of playing golf with a frisbee!

'Run up' to 2021 Challenge
14 December - 10 January
What
From the 14 December to the 10 January, Saints Sport are challenging students, staff and the community to take part in our Winter ‘Run Up’ to 2021 Challenge!
Step 1: Assemble your team
Gather up five colleagues. If there’s more than 5 of you who want to take part, why not set up more teams to create some friendly workplace competition? If there’s less than five people in your team, invite friends and family to get involved too!?
Step 2: Register your team
Once you know who’s in, it’s time to register for the Challenge. You’ll also need to select your most charismatic, motivational?team mate to be Team Captain (or draw straws), and now is also the time to choose your team name.
Step 3: Count those kilometres
From smartphones to paper maps, there’s lots of different tools available for measuring distance. We are also using Strava to create a fun leader board and keep you motivated.
Step 4: Get active
Our focus is on motivating you and your team to keep active, stay connected and have some fun along the way. Whether you are working from home, or on your daily spell of walking outdoors, every walk, jog, cycle or burst of exercise run counts!
Step 5: Stay on track
Make sure you record your activity weekly through our Can Do Kilometer Counter. Individuals can also sign up to the Saints Sport Strava Club page where you can track individual progress. We will update the Saints Sport website weekly with team distance completed so check out the leader board. If you comlete a workout such as Zumba or HIIT, every 15 minutes will equate you 2.5k!
Step 6: Stay connected
Set up a MS Teams Chat or WhatsApp group to keep in touch over the 4-week challenge. This will help set personal or team goals and motivate each other to get the KMs in!
